About St Vincent’s Foundation

Each year, thousands of individuals and organisations give donations, grants and bequests to St Vincent’s Hospital for many reasons – in recognition of the care they've received, in memoriam or celebration, or in support of particular appeals, departments or areas of medical research.

St Vincent’s Foundation was established in 1998 to work with community members, businesses, charities and trusts to raise and distribute funds for areas of need across the Hospital. The Foundation provides information, guidance and reassurance that all these donations are received and allocated to the areas our donors nominate. The Foundation Team also organises major fundraising events and assists community fundraisers to organise their own events and activities in support of the hospital.

The Foundation Team is made up of 10 enthusiastic staff members who work across a range of areas, including events, corporate sponsorship, community fundraising and donor relations. The Foundation Council is made up of 12 members from diverse business and not-for-profit backgrounds, who provide high level support and strategic direction for the Foundation’s activities.

One hundred per cent of donations received by the Foundation are allocated to the areas donors nominate. We are always happy to provide clear and detailed information about how we use donations and the practical ways in which they help us provide the best possible medical care, conduct world-class research and train the next generation of doctors, nurses and allied health clinicians.
