Nurturing tomorrow's caregivers

15 Apr 2024

St Vincent’s Foundation partner, Bank First, was proud to recognise and support St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) nurses. For the first time, three deserving recipients were awarded scholarships valued at $2,500 each, enabling them to undertake further study.

Adrian Wilson, Head of Community Partnerships at Bank First said the bank is dedicated to championing those who care for others and providing scholarships is an integral part of the bank’s purpose.

“Bank First was established over 50 years ago by 48 teachers who were fed up with how the ’big banks’ treated people, especially women. Back then, a woman needed her father or husband to sign for a loan. But not at Bank First – we’ve always been different.

“And we’ve stayed true to our purpose. As a bank for nurses and teachers, our profits go back into supporting those who care for others, and their communities.”
