Equip our hospitals

Direct your support to the most vital areas of need across St Vincent's

Supporting life-saving equipment, research and innovation

Your generosity helps equip St Vincent’s hospitals now and for the future – ensuring our clinicians have the tools, technologies and research support they need to provide exceptional care, while creating environments that support comfort, healing and recovery for every patient.

In collaboration with our clinical leaders, we carefully identify the most urgent priorities where donor support will make the greatest difference. From targeted equipment purchases to transformational investments, these needs range from $1,000 to over $1 million.

All gifts make a vital difference and any contribution towards an item is greatly appreciated.

Select an area below to see how your support can make an impact:

Life-saving equipment and technology

Access to advanced technology and more life-saving equipment is essential to delivering world-leading care across our hospitals, expanding our treatment capabilities and supporting better recovery outcomes for patients.

Public - priority need: Anaesthesia Ultrasound – $50,000 each.

Real-time ultrasound improves safety and precision during anaesthesia, guiding procedures and patient monitoring. Replacing outdated machines will reduce risk and improve outcomes for patients across the hospital.

Private - priority need: Transcutaneous Jaundice Detector – $7,000.

A non-invasive device used to check for jaundice in newborn babies by measuring bilirubin levels through the skin. It uses a gentle light and sensor to provide quick, painless results.

Support life-saving equipment and innovative technology.

Your philanthropy means we can access advanced equipment and technology that enables safer, more precise, and life-saving care for patients.

Healing spaces and tools that support comfort and recovery

Care environments and bespoke equipment play a vital role in how patients feel, recover and heal. Comfortable, well-designed spaces support wellbeing and better clinical outcomes.

Public - priority need: Motorised Wheelchairs - $50,000 (for 5).

We require new motorised wheelchairs to improve mobility and independence for patients with limited physical function. These advanced wheelchairs provide safe and comfortable mobility, enabling patients to participate in therapy and move safely around the hospital.

Private - priority need: ICU Beds - $90,000 (for 3).

These specialised, larger-sized beds support critically unwell patients by accommodating advanced monitoring equipment while improving comfort, safety and care during intensive treatment.

Create comfortable healing spaces for patients and families.

Your support helps enhance treatment areas and equipment, upgrade clinical spaces and create welcoming environments.

Research and innovation that improves detection and diagnosis

Research and innovation at St Vincent’s help improve diagnosis, treatment and patient outcomes. These advancements support earlier detection and more accurate clinical decision-making.

Private - priority need: Sonosite Ultrasound – $85,000.

This portable ultrasound allows our clinicians to clearly visualise veins and arteries, improving accuracy during procedures and supporting safer, faster and more effective patient care.

Support research that improves diagnosis and treatment.

Through your philanthropy, we can invest in advanced diagnostics and emerging technologies that enable earlier detection and more accurate clinical decisions.
