In wonderful news for our community, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne has been announced as Premier’s Large Health Service of the Year at the 2025 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards.
This recognition reflects the skill, compassion and commitment of the more than 7,000 people across St Vincent’s Public Hospital Melbourne, whose dedication ensures safe, kind and dignified care for every person.
As we celebrate the impact of this excellence, we also want to say thank you to our most committed community of supporters who stand with us always, as we strive to deliver better and fairer care.
We also congratulate the finalist St Vincent’s projects recognised on the night:
The Better Health and Housing Program for Excellence in values-based healthcare. Through strong cross-sector partnerships, co-designed care plans and peer support, this program is breaking the cycle of chronic homelessness and poor health.
The Minimum Category Three triage policy for First Nations patients in the Emergency Department for Excellence in Aboriginal health and wellbeing, improving equity and outcomes through thoughtful redesign of resources and processes.
These achievements highlight St Vincent’s unwavering commitment to people who are vulnerable, marginalised or facing complex health challenges. They are a testament to what becomes possible when compassionate clinicians, dedicated teams and a supportive community move forward together.
From all of us at the St Vincent’s Foundation Victoria, congratulations to our colleagues across the hospital and our heartfelt thanks to every supporter who has helped make this possible.
