As some of you know, our beautiful Meaghan was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma earlier this year. She is currently preparing to undergo Stem Cell Transfusion as part of her treatment - this treatment is a critical part of her journey towards recovery but comes with significant physical and emotional challenges. Meaghan will be stripped of her immune system and will be in isolation in hospital over Christmas. And Meaghan just loves Christmas!
Researchers at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) , where Meaghan is being treated, are leading a world-first, multi-centre clinical trial of a personalised treatment approach that could potentially transform the outcome for multiple myeloma patients based on genetic abnormalities. This could literally be life changing for Meaghan and others suffering from Multiple Myeloma.
