Meet Rosie, St Vincent's Private Melbourne’s new therapy dog.
Therapy dogs like Rosie work in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes and schools. They’ve been shown to be a welcome addition because they reduce stress and anxiety levels of both patients and staff.
Not just adorable, Rosie is a fully trained Therapy Dog. She has been through rigorous checks and training with Therapy Animals Australia, to meet the high standards required to certify as a therapy dog.
Rosie joined the team in mid-August and she certainly succeeded in putting smiles on everyone’s faces. Let's all give a round-of-a-paws to St Vincent's newest recruit!
The team think Rosie is one top dog and they look forward to having her visit again soon.
