Nurses are always giving to others …

will you give a little back?

Our wonderful nurses are always giving to others.

This Christmas, will you give a little back?

We urgently need to raise $50,000 for the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund by 24 December.

Please, will you donate today to help fund a life-changing scholarship for a nurse at St Vincent’s Private Hospital?

Because they work in a private hospital, St Vincent nurses are unable to apply for a government grant to help with their studies.

Unlike their public hospital colleagues.

This puts the excellent and caring nurses at St Vincent’s at a serious disadvantage.

Today, you can help change the lives of our nurses - by funding a life-changing scholarship.

‘Throughout my career, I’ve always thought, ‘I wish I knew more, I wish I knew this, that and the other.’  - Jemimah

Nurses are some of the most selfless and caring people you could ever meet - and they’re always giving to others.

Many of our patients have asked if there was a way they could give back to the nurses, who took such good care of them at St Vincent’s.

This led to the creation of the Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund in 2022 – which is entirely funded by generous people like you.

This year, we need to raise $50,000 to top up this fund, so that in 2024 more St Vincent’s nurses can receive a life-changing scholarship.

Are you able to help?

Jemimah is a mum, a wife, and a nurse with 15 years’ experience. When she heard how generously people have supported the Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund – she was completely blown away.

“My goodness, I don’t even think thank you is enough.

The donations that I’ve heard about are just beyond anything I could even imagine. I have no words – I don’t even know how you say thank you for something like this.

It’s a very, very kind and selfless thing to do.”

Alex

Registered nurse at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne - Cardiology

Alex has been a nurse at St Vincent’s for six years, and is incredibly touched by the generosity of people like you.

“It means a lot to me. I feel really grateful to have this support.

I was an international student. I had to borrow money from my parents to finish my studies. I’ve been trying to save money to pay them back. But at the moment, it's quite tough because everything is getting more and more expensive.

So having the scholarship fund is a great help for me. I am really grateful.”

This is the incredible support you can give to another nurse like Alex with a kind Christmas gift today.

Junyan

Registered nurse at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne - Perioperative

Junyan has been a nurse for almost three years. Junyan is so thankful that she’s been able to pursue post-grad study because of people like you.

“I would like to thank each and every single one of you who gave to the Nursing Excellence Scholarship Fund. The scholarship definitely relieved some financial pressure for me.

If not for you, I wouldn’t have been able to do my Post-Graduate Certificate. Because of this scholarship, I’m now able to provide better care for all of my patients. By helping a nurse like me, you are helping a whole community. Thank you.”

This is the incredible outcome you can make possible for another nurse like Junyan, through your kind Christmas gift today.
